Cabot - Extra Sharp Vintage Cheddar Cheese

The first time that I bought this Cabot cheese, it was wrapped in a lovely purple wax, to ensure freshness. But ever since then, I have only found it in a plastic wrapper. It did stay fresher in the wax. The whole family loves the flavor and texture of this white cheese. It tastes good all by itself cut into little squares, or lovely with a cracker. It is an affordable cheese, at about $15.00 per lb.

Now here's a cheese that I sampled in Central Market. It is Etorki from France. I really enjoyed it with a Pinot Grigiot and small wheat crackers. It comes from ewe's milk, that's why I could smell that goat smell. I usually don't like a goat cheese. It has too much of a strong flavor but this Etorki was quite tasty. It is priced at $16.99 lb
